International Masters Classic Composers Set of 62 CDs with Music Guide Book (Music CD Set)

CDs in this set have color coded categories with corresponding numbers on the CD spine.

Themes are: Baroque (5 volumes), Classical (6 volumes), Early Romantic (13 volumes), Late Romantic (21 volumes), Modern (17 volumes) and one special (Classic Variations). This set has all of these except the one special (Classic Variations).

Each CD comes in a small, hard-bound booklet that gives a brief overview of the work contained therein. There's also information about the composer and the performers; even some brief narrative of what was going on in the composer's world at the time of the writings, to give some historical context. The performers, by the way, are virtually all European and many performances of different composer's works are by the same artists, and the sound from disc to disc is very consistent. This was a mail order product which you could subscribe to. Every few weeks you could receive one or two CD's until you had the complete set.
